Flight route animation, from departure to arrival
A flight map helps viewers connect two places before the next chapter begins. Create an animated flight path for a trip recap, destination introduction, or travel film, with control over the route duration and the map view around it.
01
Choose departure and arrival cities
Search for the first city in Studio, add a route action, and choose the destination. Use flight mode for the connection. City endpoints explain the journey at a glance; zoom in and verify the exact places if your story needs airport-level detail.
02
Frame the full flight path
Begin with both ends visible so viewers understand the distance and direction. In the Paris–New York example, the Atlantic provides context for the crossing. Check the framing in your chosen aspect ratio: a wide intercontinental route needs a different view from a short regional connection.
03
Time the flight and the arrival
Adjust route duration on the timeline, then give the destination its own hold or closer view. Avoid a camera move that hides the arrival before the flight finishes. Preview the entire sequence at normal speed to check that the departure, movement, and arrival remain readable.
04
Export the sequence for your edit
Export an MP4 after reviewing the map, labels, and camera. Add the clip to a longer travel video using your preferred editing software. Narration, captions, and soundtrack can be added during that edit. Visit the pricing section for the current export limits and plan options.
Common questions
Is this a live flight tracker?
The route is a visual storytelling animation between selected places. It does not show live aircraft positions, airline schedules, actual airways, or navigation instructions.
Can I animate a trip with connecting flights?
Build a separate route action or scene for each connection. Arrange the legs in sequence and leave a pause at the connecting city so viewers can follow the itinerary before the next departure.
