Frequently asked questions

A few useful details before your first map video.

Do I need to install any software?

No installation or editing plugin is needed. Use a current desktop browser with WebGL support. Video export also depends on your browser’s encoding capabilities.

Can I edit the result manually?

Yes. In Studio, adjust places, camera moves, actions, map styles and timing. Edit the project, then export a new video with your changes.

Which aspect ratios and file formats are supported?

Choose 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. MP4 is preferred; WebM is used when MP4 encoding is unavailable. The export panel shows the actual format.

Where do the places, boundaries and routes come from?

Sources include LocationIQ and OpenStreetMap-based data. Basemaps and routes depend on the selected providers. Review the source credits and check important locations before publishing.

What are the free-plan limits?

Free and trial allowances are still being finalized. Check the published offer for usage limits, paid features and payment terms before subscribing.

Can I use my videos commercially or remove map credits?

Commercial use depends on the licenses for your map data, imagery and other assets. Keep required attribution. A subscription does not waive third-party license requirements.
